General themes

Quality

The thematic area related to quality represents a fundamental pillar of Mercantile Sciences. The congress will focus on improving the quality standards of products, considered imperative also to mitigate environmental impacts along the entire production chain. To pursue these objectives, more rigorous quality criteria for raw materials are necessary, as well as the promotion of efficient production processes.

It will be particularly interesting to address strategies aimed at educating consumers about the intrinsic quality of products, guiding them towards informed and sustainable choices.

Energy transition

The energy transition emerges as a crucial element in addressing the dynamics of global change in the field of merchandising. The congress will focus on the perspective of adopting renewable energy sources and optimizing processes to reduce dependence on non-renewable resources.

Moreover, it will be dedicated to in-depth analyses related to the introduction of sustainable technologies and management practices oriented towards energy efficiency, considered as strategic levers to strengthen the resilience of supply chains in an increasingly dynamic context.

Digital transition

Digitalization plays a crucial role in enhancing resilience and sustainability within the merchandising context. The focus will be on the widespread adoption of digital technologies with the aim of optimizing supply chain management, reducing waste, and enhancing product traceability.

The exploration of cutting-edge solutions, including artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things (IoT), will be thoroughly examined to increase operational efficiency in accordance with key sustainability principles.

Ecological transition

Ecological transition implies a comprehensive reconsideration of production and distribution processes to mitigate environmental impact. This approach aims to reduce the impact resulting from production and optimize supply chains. The goal is to find and devise innovative solutions that harmonize market needs with environmental protection, promoting both responsible consumption practices and the implementation of a circular economy. The integration of ecological criteria within the context of Mercantile Sciences plays a crucial role in building a sustainable future and safeguarding natural resources.
